Pharnacy: How to dispense medical products on electronic prescription

This user guide explains how pharmacists can dispense medications from an electronic prescription in the Kwivuza application. It provides step-by-step instructions on reviewing the prescription, selecting the products, and completing the dispensing process.

 

Step 1:

Navigate to kwivuza.rssb.rw and sign in using your phone number and OTP.



Step 2:

Do eligibility check using patient's NID or Card ID.



Step 3:

Click  the eye icon to View all details.



Step 4: If the patient has a paper prescription click on "paper prescription"


If the patient has system prescriptionClick "System Prescription"



Step 5:

Search for the health facility where the member received treatment, then select the facility.



Step 6:

select treatment date.



Step 7:

Click "Continue: Select prescriptions"


Step 7: Select the batch of medical product you are dispensing to the patient.


NB: If medical products are added to a patient’s visit by different practitioners or at different times, they will appear in separate batches. The pharmacist must open each batch one by one to dispense all the products. 


Select a batch and click "continue".


Step 8:

select only the product you have and ready to dispense.



Step 9:

For products without a price, you will be asked to enter the price for the medical advisor to review. Click ''Set Price''.



Step 10:

Add the price and click ''save''



Step 11:

Click "Next: Review and confirm"



Step 12:

Click this checkbox to confirm that the member has received the health products.



Step 13:

Click "Next: Finish"



Step 14:

Click "View created voucher" to see if the medical advisor has reviewed for the price request.



  • A voucher with a pending medical advisor status means the medical advisor has not yet reviewed it, and you will need to wait until the review is completed.

  • If the status is medical advisor reviewed, open it to see if it is approved or rejected.


Step 15:

If approved Click "Send for review"



Step 16:

Click "Confirm"
