This user guide explains how doctors can add medications to a patient visit. It provides step-by-step instructions on selecting the patient, searching for medications, and saving them to the patient’s prescription.
Step 1:
Doctor navigate to https://kwivuza.rssb.rw and sign in using phone number and OTP.
Step 2:
For a doctor who works on more than one facility will have to choose where he/she is working at the moment.
Step 3:
After selecting the facility, the doctor will see patients whose visits were created by the cashier with different status.
Statuses meaning
pending means a visit has never been opened.
In progress means a visit has been opened and has some medications saved on it.
Step 4:
click on the search field to search patient by name or visit id.
Step 5:
click on a paper pen icon to open a visit.
Step 4 : Choose the patient stay type (out-patient or inpatient) and fill in patients weight as well.
Step 6:
click search field to add medical product.
Step 7:
Search for the product and select the one to prescribe.
Step 8:
fill all the fields( quantity, drug frequency and duration) and posology if needed.
Step 9:
Click "Add to list".
Step 10:
Add all medical products given to the patient.
Step 11:
fill all the fields( quantity, drug frequency and duration) and Click "Add to list"
Step 12:
After adding all products, Click "Next: Review and confirm"
For the products that require medical advisor approval, you will need to add a reasonable and clear clinical motivation for medical advisor review. Click the ‘Enter clinical motivation’ field.
Step 13:
Add clear clinical motivation.
Step 14:
Click this checkbox to confirm that the patient has received the services.
- We have two button Add product and Add & discharge.
-Add product: the visit remain open and you can add more products later and its status will be in progress.
-Add & Discharge: the visit will be closed and no other product can be added and its status will be Discharged.
If the patient visit is not completed use Add product button and if the visit is completed, use discharge button.
Case 1: Add product and save the prescription. The drugs can now be dispensed at pharmacy, and you can add more products later if the patient is still in your care.
Step 15:
Click "Continue"
Step 16:
Click "Back to Patient queue list"
The status is now in progress and you can reopen the visit.
Step 17:
If you reopen the visit, you can add more products by searching and selecting them.
Step 18:
Click "Add to list"
Step 19:
Click "Next: Review and confirm"
Step 20:
Click the checkbox to confirm that the patient has received the services.
Case 2: Add & Discharge – Once all products are on the voucher, click ‘Add & Discharge’ to complete the visit.
Step 21:
Click ‘Continue’ to confirm. No more medical products can be added to the visit afterward.
The patient has been successfully discharged. No additional medical products can be added to this visit, and the patient’s status is now marked as Discharged.
